Casually Elegant Valentine Cards Using Hero Arts' January 2018 Card Kit.

Hello and welcome to Faire Chase Lane. Today I'm sharing a design for Valentine cards using Hero Arts' January 2018 card kit.

The blue was my favorite but I made cards in several colors. They are all pretty and easy to make.

I started with Recollections "Brights" cardstock paper and K&Company designer paper, coordinating the designer paper with the colors of the cardstock.

The Recollections cardstock paper is lightweight. You might want to use a heavier cardstock unless you do what I do and layer pieces of white cardstock inside the card.  I think most people are just more comfortable writing on white cardstock and I give most of my cards away to friends and family to use. With the card base, the white cardstock inserts, and the decorated panel, the finished card is very sturdy.

These cards are the standard A2 size.  My panel from the designer paper is slightly smaller than the card base. I cut two opposing corners of the designer paper using the corner die from the card kit.  This leaves the negative space on the designer paper, the cutout can be used for another card.

Centered on the card is the cutout from the heart die and an embossed sentiment from the card kit.  The cards are finished with a few color coordinated sequins.

This is my first blog, so bear with me as I learn. Next week I will post a card design using one of the add on supplies to the card kit, the beautiful love birds stamp and die set.

I am working to make "How to" videos to be posted on YouTube as soon as I figure out how all that works.

I hope you like this design idea and try it yourself.

Thank you for stopping by Faire Chase Lane.
