Color Throwdown # 482

Welcome everyone.  This week the Color Throwdown colors are pink, kraft, and gray, colors that seem a little retro and pastoral to me. I was also inspired by Barbara Anders' card, I loved her use of dimension and the pink ribbon detail.  With this in mind, I finally used the beautiful toile stamps by Iron Orchard Décor I bought some time ago.
The image was stamped onto watercolor paper with black archival ink then painted with pearlescent watercolor paints.  The pearlescent paints are very pretty on the card but difficult to photograph. If you are interested in trying pearlescent paints, I have provided a link to the set I have been using at the bottom of this blog.
The image was large and busy so additional embellishment seemed unnecessary but I didn't want a completely flat card so I cut out a square, drawing attention to the woman snuggling the lamb, and raised it with a piece of kraft colored cardstock and craft foam.  The card was finished with a pink ribbon detail.

If you want to see Barbara Anders' lovely card, and the other very talented entries posted to this challenge go to www.colorthrowdown.blogspot.com

I hope you enjoyed your visit to Faire Chase Lane today and will come back soon.
