Enjoy the Journey

Hello everyone. This week for Color Throwdown Challenge # 486 we are working with Blush, Pink, and Peach. In the spirit of Ralph Waldo Emerson's "It is the Journey that Matters, not the Destination" our snail is heading into the future like the fifty something person that is writing this blog.
For the background panel I used watercolor pencils in the challenge colors, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry Oxide Inks, and flower and Old French (as in escargot) script stencils. I smooshed the color with water and moved it around with a water brush until I was happy with it.
The snail was stamped with a Faire Chase Lane Stamp which was embossed with silver and colored with the same colored pencils used on the background.

The sentiments were stamped with the Art-C Travel Stamp set, embossed in silver on white card stock.  Both the snail and the sentiment were popped up with foam tape and everything was glued to a white card stock base.

The silver trail was embossed under the snail, using a embossing pen, and some peach shading was added to finish the card.

I hope you liked this card idea. Please stop by the Color Throwdown Blog and check out the very talented entries posted there.
