My Superhero

Hello everyone.  For the Cardz 4 Guys Challenge # 191 I am making a birthday card for my superhero, my grandfather Rufus. My grandfather is a World War II veteran, and even though I am a veteran myself, it is hard to imagine the terrible things he went through during that difficult time in history.
I copied a photo of my grandfather and cut it to fit onto an A2 size card.  The words "My hero" were embossed in gold all over brown cardstock.

An oval was cut from the brown cardstock and a piece of craft foam which were glued together to build a frame for the photo.

A Spellbinders "Happy Birthday" was die cut from black cardstock and glued to the panel, I didn't pop them up because I will be mailing this card. To finish the card the sentiment was given a few highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen.

I hope you liked this card idea and will check out some of the other projects I have posted.  Please go to Cardz 4 Guys and check out the excellent work posted there.
The die I used for the Happy Birthday sentiment was from the Spellbinders February 2018 Large Die Monthly kit which came with several dies, including a birthday card pop-up die set.
