Seashell Love

Hello my crafty friends. It is a no ink zone this week at Shopping Our Stash # 347, so I made a new card with an old card from my stash.
I fussy cut the shells from a holiday card I received some time ago and glued them onto a cream card stock.
I cut "Love" from kraft and dark brown card stocks using a die and glued everything onto a kraft card base.

I couldn't stand not having a touch of shading around the shell cut-out so I did use a little watercolor paint there. A few sequins finished this project.

I hope you liked this recycled card idea. Please stop by the Shopping Our Stash blog and check out the very talented projects posted there.

  1. Beautiful card! I have to admit, at first I thought you had added real shells! (It's first thing in the morning... My eyes aren't working!) But even better: you shopped your stash and used an old card! Great fussy cutting, great recycling, great card! Thanks for joining us... it's been awesome having you at SOS. So inspiring in the gallery!

  2. Fab re-purpose of the original card & good on ya for fussy cutting those shells!
Thanks for taking up the NO INK challenge with the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH this week!!

  3. Oh WOW!! Those shells look amazingly real!!! Just beautiful and creative way to use your stash of greeting cards. Love the fabulous shading you added with watercolors.
Thank you for sharing with us at SHOPPING OUR STASH, hope you play again soon.
